Since The Herlihy Insurance Group was founded in 1927, the agency has focused on providing specialized, cost effective insurance programs for contractors. Currently the Construction Division is lead by Jim Herlihy, CIC, CRIS and Mark Herlihy, CIC, CRIS who have both have earned the Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designation offered by the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Agents. The agency is a long time member of the Builders Association of Central Mass (BACM), the National Home Builders Association (NAHB) and the Associated Subcontractors of Massachusetts (ASM).

The Herlihy Insurance Group has developed and implemented a Client Relationship Management Program (CRMP) to properly and efficiently serve our clients with the goal of being one of your trusted advisors. The purpose of the CRMP is to review your existing coverages, explain any new insurance coverages, maintain the proper insurance pricing from year to year and to prevent any "uncovered" claims. Our Client Relationship Management Program includes the following and can be customized to your company's needs:

  1. Annual Market Analysis - This analysis shows your annual insurance cost from the various insurance companies that quoted your account. This analysis enables your company to have the best possible pricing each year.
  2. Annual Claim Report - This report shows your claims history for the past 5 years to include number of claims, cost of each claim and a detail report on all "Open" claims. Additional claim reports are provided to our client throughout the year as necessary.
  3. Six Month Review Meeting - This meeting is scheduled about 6 months after the effective date of your policies. We meet to review your Year-to-Date Payroll and Sales Figures, Contractors Equipment, Vehicles and Trailers, Employee Driver List and the current operations of your business. The main purpose of this meeting is to forecast your final audit and to confirm your insurance program is not missing any coverages.
  4. Recommendation List - We explain the importance of a coverage that is not included within your current insurance program and why you should consider adding this to your insurance program.
