Jim Herlihy
CIC / President

Jim joined Herlihy Insurance Group in 1986. He began his insurance career working alongside his father and grandfather as a producer. Upon his father’s retirement in 2005 Jim was elected President of the agency. Under Jim’s management leadership the Herlihy Insurance Group doubled its revenues and developed a dedicated team of experienced professional to profitable grow the agency and to provide outstanding client servicing to the agency’s valued clients.. Jim has maintained his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Construction Risk & Insurance Specialist (CRIS) insurance designations. The agency’s concept of Team Herlihy was developed by Jim and his management team. Jim enjoys his Team Herlihy work with the Boys & Girls Club of Worcester and the Be Like Brit Foundation.

Mark Herlihy
Vice President

Mark joined the Herlihy Insurance Group in 1994 where he assisted in servicing the clients of Herlihy Insurance in their Worcester, Holden and Rutland offices. Within a few years, Mark earned his Property, Casualty, Life and Health Insurance License and transitioned into a commercial salesperson for the agency. These days, Mark is Vice President of Sales and holds his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and his Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designations. Mark works with companies within the Residential Construction Industry, Commercial Construction Industry and Property Accounts such as Apartment Rental Properties, Condominium Associations and Commercial Buildings. Outside of the office, Mark has been active member of the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Central Mass (HBRACM) for more than 20 years. He is currently the Treasurer of the HBRACM and a past President from 2011 – 2013. The Herlihy Insurance Group is also a member of the Associated Subcontractors of Massachusetts.

John Herlihy
Vice President and Medical Malpractice Director

John is Vice President and Medical Malpractice Director at Herlihy and holds the distinguished Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation. John joined the Herlihy Insurance Group in 1992, completing his Property, Casualty, and Life-Health licensing. He also assisted in the acquisition and development of Herlihy Insurance Group’s Holden office. As Medical Malpractice Director, John provides insight and expertise to individual physicians, medical groups and healthcare facilities throughout New England. He has over 20 years experience problem solving and providing medical malpractice solutions, risk strategies and education. John’s charitable and volunteer efforts include work with Kids’ Café, Boys & Girls Club of Worcester, and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Colleen Herlihy
CFO

After working for a few years at Aetna Insurance, Colleen joined the agency in 1985. She has maintained her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) designations for over 30 years. Today as part of the management team, Colleen works on agency financial management, automation oversight and working with an all star personal lines team. When first starting out as an agency producer, Colleen shared an office with the founder of the agency, her grandfather!

Nathan Cormier
Personal Lines Manager
Nate joined the Herlihy Insurance Group in June of 2021. He has worked in the insurance industry for over 12 years and since 2009 and specializes in personal home, auto, and liability insurance. Nate lives in Fitchburg with his wife and enjoys playing billiards in a local pool league. Nate is also a passionate animal lover and a happy cat owner.

Joanne Augustine, CIC, CPCU
Commercial Lines Marketing Director
Joanne Augustine has worked in the insurance industry for over 25 years. Joanne has focused on the agency side of the insurance business, predominantly in Commercial Lines.  Joanne has earned several insurance designations including CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter)  and CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor).. Joanne enjoys learning about our client’s businesses.  She spends time understanding the client’s exposures and works to provide insurance solutions that are both competitively priced and coverage that is comprehensive. Joanne lives in Milford and enjoys spending time with her husband playing golf, traveling,  and working in her yard.

Stephen D Brunelle
Vice President of Sales
Stephen is Vice President of Sales at Herlihy. He began working as a bodily injury and large loss claims adjuster for the Hanover Insurance Company in 1993 before moving over to Sales in 1996. Stephen’s specialties include Franchised Auto Dealers, Transportation, Construction and Manufacturing. In his free time, Stephen is an active participant in Kid’s Café at the Boys and Girls Club of Worcester as well as the Pan Mass Challenge Winter Cycle. He also volunteers at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston. Somehow Stephen finds time to be a coach and Vice President of the Joe Schwartz Little League, as well as an Assistant Football Coach at Doherty Memorial High School.

Alka Yadav-Mehta CISR, CRIS
Sales Executive
Alka Yadav-Mehta has worked in the insurance industry since 2005. She is a commercial and personal lines producer at Herlihy Insurance Group. Prior to working in insurance, she worked as an attorney in insurance litigation, environmental law, and corporate law. She is a Licensed Producer in Property and Casualty Lines in MA with Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS) and Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation. She is a licensed attorney, a member of the New York Bar and American Bar Association. She is currently a member of the Business Networking Group (BNI) in Worcester, which allows her to network with other like minded business professionals. Besides that, she is also a member of Women’s networking groups and Corridor Nine, Chamber of Commerce. Her passion is to share yoga practice with others. She enjoys teaching yoga to all ages from kids to seniors and currently volunteers with India Society of Worcester as a yoga instructor. If she is not on the yoga mat, then she is volunteering to do community work and is actively involved with charitable organizations like Alzheimer’s Association, American Heart Association and American Cancer Society, Be Like Brit and is supporting education of children in rural and tribal areas of India. She lives in Westborough with her husband and has one son who is a medical student at UMass Medical College. She spends time traveling with her family and loves outdoor sports like sailing, kayaking, hiking, etc.

Lizz Vogel, CISR
Account Development Specialist
Lizz Vogel has been in the insurance business for 11 years. In her current role as an Account Development Specialist she helps guides new clients through the insurance buying process. Her primary focus is personal lines insurance. She has earned her Property and Casualty License as well as the designation of Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR). Outside of work, Lizz is part of the Valley Business Network with the Blackstone Chamber of Commerce. She is also on the executive board of the Worcester Shamrocks Women’s Rugby Club. She lives in Sturbridge with her wife. In her free time she enjoys kayak fishing, raising chickens and camping in Vermont.

Lisa Desjardins, CISR Personal Lines Account Executive Lisa Desjardins has worked for Herlihy Insurance since 1998. She has earned her Property and Casualty License as well as the designation of Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR). Lisa works in our personal lines insurance department assisting her clients with all of their insurance needs. Lisa lives in Worcester County with her husband and their dog. She has participated with Team Herlihy in the “Be like Brit Walk” and “Walk to End Alzheimer’s,” as well as fundraisers for Veterans Inc.

Rene Buzzell Clients Relations Executive Rene Buzzell has worked for Herlihy Insurance Group for over 18 years. She started her insurance career at Herlihy welcoming clients at reception. Rene’s excellent client servicing skills were soon noted and she was promoted to her current role of client relations executive. In that role, she assists our Personal Lines Department in exceeding client expectations.

Cheryl Lauria, CISR Personal Lines Account Executive Cheryl started her insurance career at Hanover Insurance where she worked in many different positions. For the past fourteen years Cheryl has worked at locally owned insurance agencies. She is a licensed personal insurance account manager at Herlihy Insurance Group. Her hobbies include archery and in supporting and donating to cancer research.

Lisa Lange, CISR CCLP Personal Lines Account Executive Lisa has worked in the insurance industry since 1997. She has earned her Property and Casualty License as well as the designations of Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) and Certified Commercial Lines Professional (CCLP). Lisa is a proud Rutland Mass townie, a dog lover, and a vegetarian.

Barbara Dunkerton, CISR Personal Lines Account Executive Barbara began her career in financial services working with large mutual fund and insurance companies. When she started her family, she transitioned to the agency side and worked exclusively with Property and Casualty products. Barbara has worked as an independent agent in Worcester County for over twenty years. She is currently a licensed Account Executive at Herlihy Insurance Group specializing in Personal Lines Insurance products. When not working or with her family, Barbara enjoys reading, photography, and exploring the beautiful coastline.

Jaime Lawsure, CISR
Personal Lines Account Executive

Jaime started her career in insurance in 2012 as an administrative assistant and now enjoys her career as a Personal Insurance Account Executive. Her favorite part about working in insurance is getting to know her clients’ individual needs and helping them protect their most important assets. When not working, Jaime enjoy watching movies, trying new restaurants and breweries and going on trips with my husband and our two year old son.

Margarita Rodriguez
Personal Lines Account Executive

Margarita has over eleven years of Personal Insurance experience and enjoys working on complex higher value risks, and ensuring that her clients have the right limits of insurance and the coverage protection they need. Her favorite past time is travel. She had visited over 15 countries. Margarita also enjoys attending concerts and being an huge Ottawa Senators fan!

Patricia Hudson AIS, CRIS Commercial Lines Account Executive Pat has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry and for the last 2 decades she has focused on commercial lines insurance. Over her long career, Pat has earned her Property and Casualty License as well as the designations of Associates in Insurance Services (AIS), Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR), and Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designations. Pat lives in the Worcester area with her husband. Now that her two children are grown, she has more time for watching Judge Judy, shopping and spending time with her granddaughter.

Jennifer Cruz Commercial Lines Assistant Jennifer has worked in the insurance industry since 2014. She works in the commercial lines department as an assistant. Jennifer lives in Worcester with her children.

Christopher Rose Commercial Lines Account Executive

Chris Rose has worked in the insurance industry for over 23 years. In that time, he has earned his Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS) and Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designations.

Chris lives in Millbury with his wife, 2 children, and 3 dogs. He enjoys coaching baseball, going to CrossFit, and taking family vacations.

Lee Ann Watterson Commercial Lines Marketing Director

Lee Ann Watterson has worked in the insurance industry for over 20 years, concentrating on commercial insurance. Lee Ann enjoys getting to know our clients and helping them to maneuver and understand the intricacies of commercial insurance. She is happy to take the time to teach new business owners about coverages, audits, and review any other questions they may have. Lee Ann lives in Southbridge and enjoys cooking, reading, practicing yoga, and hiking with her dog Bleu.

Sherri Tower Commercial Lines Account Executive, CIC, CISR

Sherri Tower has worked specialized in Commercial Insurance for over 20 years and earned her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designations.

She lives in the Worcester area with her husband, rescue dog and cat. She enjoys spending time with her grown kids & family, politics, history, reading, movies, and vacationing in NH, Montreal and Maine.

Rachel Anderson Commercial Lines Account

Rachel Anderson began her insurance career as an Auto Claims Adjuster before transitioning to the agency side of insurance where she assisted business owners with their insurance programs. In her current role at Herlihy Insurance she works with our business owners by designing insurance programs that meet their specific needs. When she is not in the office, Rachel enjoys spending time outdoors, playing video games, and being with friends and family.

Chris Herlihy Claims Specialist Chris joined Herlihy Insurance Group in 2003. He assists the agency with commercial claims and registry processes.

Kristin Herlihy Accounting Specialist Kristin Herlihy has been part of the agency for over 28 years. During that time, she has managed both personal and commercial lines accounts. For the past ten years, she has been Herlihy’s accounting specialist.

Janet Durant
Administrative Assistant

Janet Durant joins the agency after many years as office manager for Curia, a CDMO built to help pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Janet lives in Shrewsbury with her husband and enjoys spending any time she can with her children. When she has free time, she enjoys baking treats for friends and any chance she can be by the ocean.
