Our Vacation Trip Abroad

The family adventure to Ireland was voted a success!

Our group of 21 made it there and back and enjoyed many laughs. We did not lose anyone for too long and no injuries were reported.

Although we did have hired bus drivers for a few days, and utilized taxis and Ubers, we also had four rental cars for the brave. The challenge on driving on the LEFT side of the road was real, but our drivers all managed the process without incident. I must say that the roads in Ireland have improved greatly and except for the many roundabouts, the signs were straightforward.

Now, why I am writing about our trip? Since we all rented our cars at different places, one pub conversation centered on the insurance! The younger in the group was prepared to decline the insurance offered, while us older travelers knew our Massachusetts car insurance has territory limits. Ireland is definitely outside those limits! Fortunately, there was a very wise wife with the younger group who prevailed and added that needed coverage.
