Tornado Anniversary

Tuesday June 2 marked 10 years after a deadly tornado ripped through parts of western and central
Massachusetts, but people in the area have not forgotten.
At our office we were inundated with calls regarding trees down, cars damaged and homes and
businesses destroyed by this weather event. Although we did not have any injury reports from our
clients we did have many clients with tornado damage.
This tornado damage was covered by the insurance policies that our clients had secured. Coverage was
not the issue. One issue that did arise with a few clients was the limit of coverage that clients had
selected for their homes and buildings..
This weather anniversary is a reminder to our agency that we really need our clients to review the limit
their limit of insurance. We do not want you to be underinsured and we do need your assistance to
review your limits. We suggest you check in with a local builder for current rebuild cost estimates or call
or email and we can guide you through an estimated rebuild cost estimate.
We know how unpredictable the weather can be and that tornados in our area are rare. Hopefully we will
not see another one for another decade. Enjoy all the blue skies days!
