We at Herlihy Insurance Group are committed to educating our client about insurance. Some time that job is tougher than we would like!

Life insurance is typically one of the topics that many of our clients prefer not to discuss. We frequently hear, “ I am all set.” Or “That is too expensive.” Or “ I don’t believe in life insurance.” Or “ That is on my list to look into.” Do any of these responses sound familiar?

If so, please take a moment during Life Insurance Awareness Month to consider:

Six in ten Americans own life insurance .

As many as 132 million Americans rely on life insurance

to protect their financial security. Major reasons given for owning life insurance include covering burial and other final expenses (51 percent), to help replace lost income (34 percent) and to help pay off the mortgage (26 percent).

More Coverage Needed

However, 30 percent of Americans know they need more life insurance. Twenty-five percent wish their spouse or partner would purchase some or more life insurance.
