The Heat is On My Mind

As we prepare for very cold winter temperatures this weekend, we are all grateful that our heating systems will be firing up and keeping us warm.

In Massachusetts, home heating oil spills and leaks are an all too common problem. The culprit in most cases is the delivery or supply line that carries home heating oil from the storage tank to the furnace. Oil-fired boilers and furnaces were especially popular in the Northeast.

Any property owner that heats with oil should check that they have added additional insurance protection for oil spill damage at their own property, and for any damage that might leak onto an adjacent property. This additional coverage is quite affordable!
